We are so lucky to have something which brings us together, even in the hardest of times, and I am grateful to be apart of this sporting community. Sport and religion alike both stress discipline, self-improvement, development of character and bring people together. These qualities are priceless and if sport can do all this then it obviously deserves the title of Australia’s national religion.
