Aping Language

“Aping Language” discusses how recent studies have suggested that chimps and humans share similar structures of the brain used for understanding. These studies have proved that chimps are capable of understanding and learning new phrases, commands, as language through the use of American Sign Language. Researches believe that humans once used the same language structures as chimps, and they believe that learning more about chimps we may also learn more about ourselves. …showed last 75 words of 273 total…is amazing to see how fast they grow mentally. The way they start out with only able to muster up a few words and gradually sentences is fascinating. When I first began taking Spanish I was only able to say a few words and gradually into sentences and later conversation. It would really be something if chimps were able to communicate to each other with the use of another language such as American Sign Language.
