Antigone: For Love and Honor
There weren’t too many main characters in the play Antigone, but out of all of them one seemed to stand out the most. My favorite character was obviously Antigone for the simple reason that she exhibited many great qualities one could only wish to have. She had a mind of her own and did not let anyone change the way she felt in her heart. As I see it,

said to Creon were so powerful: “Give me glory! What greater glory could I win than to give my own brother decent burial” (l. 563-565)? When Creon asks her if she is ashamed, she replies, “Not ashamed for a moment, not to honor my brother, my own flesh and blood” (l. 573-574). I admire Antigone for being so brave. I can relate to her because I would have done the same thing for my brother.
