Ansel Adams

Ansel Adams was born on February 20th, 1920 in San Francisco. His dad’s name was Charles while his mom’s name was Olive. As a young student Ansel often interrupted his classes because he was unable to stand the confinement of the classroom. His father decided that Ansel’s formal education was best ended. In 1979 Ansel went on to publish a book, Yosemite and the Range of Light and in 1980 The Ansel Adams Conservation Award was established by the Wilderness Club with Ansel himself named as the first recipient. In 1984 Ansel Adams died on April 22nd due to hear failure that was aggravated by cancer.
