With Remarque’s descriptions you could clearly picture in your mind the trenches and the frightened men huddled in a corner stuck in the worst possible conditions including the hunger they faced. You could most certainly feel the men’s pain just from the experience of reading the novel. I hope everyone reads this novel so they can have a realistic idea of what war really is; murder.
