First there is Sodium Thiopental, a lethal dose that sedates the person. Followed by Pancuronim Bromide, a muscle relaxant that collapses the diaphragm and lungs. Finally there is the Potassium Chloride that is used to stop the heartbeat. The process usually takes seven to ten minutes after the lethal injection is initiated, depending on the size of the veins.
The witnesses are given a debriefing of what they have just witnessed. $86.08 well spent.
