        E-mail and internet communications are not secure or anonymous. System Administrators and fourteen year-old hackers alike can pry into your personal or corporate mail. Anything you send can be read by others. Companies will never be 100% secure and the potential for security leaks and abuses outside the on-line world are much greater.         Our right to be protected from criminals and the virtue of punishing the guilty win out in this case over our right to privacy and absolute freedom of speech.
